In Hollowfort, your remaining cards are your remaining life.
Every card in your deck is a piece of you. When you take damage, cards burn. When the last card falls, so do you.
Shields blunt the flame. Barriers reject it. Poison eats through both. The same hand you spend walking Hollowfort's corridors is the hand you carry into the next fight.
